The Vega One All-In-One Shake is a premium, plant-based nutritional shake that packs 20g of protein plus a wide range of vitamins, minerals, probiotics and Omega-3 into a single scoop. We shook up and drank dozens of servings over several weeks in the office to bring you a definitive, all-questions-answered review of one of Vega's biggest-selling products.
So, without further ado, let's get stuck in.
Vega has been a big player in the vegan supplement market since the brand was founded back in 2004. To date, it has launched products ranging from powders to bars, and it remains one of the market leaders in vegan supplements.
The Vega One All-In-One Shake comes in a range of flavours (French Vanilla, Chocolate, Natural, Vanilla Chai, Berry, Mocha, Unsweetened Natural and Coconut Almond at the time of writing), with sizes ranging from a 10-serving pack right up to an XL tub of roughly 45 servings. For this review, we tested an XL tub of French Vanilla.
One scoop is the recommended serving of Vega One All-In-One Shake, and it gives you 20 grams of protein straight off the bat, along with 170 calories, 13 grams of carbohydrates and 5 grams of fat.
| Calories | 170 |
|---|---|
| Calories from fat | 50 |
| Fat | 5g (1g saturated, 3g polyunsaturated, 1g monounsaturated) |

| Sodium | 242mg |
| Potassium | 360mg |
| Carbohydrate | 13g (8g fibre, 1g sugars) |
| Protein | 20g |
On top of the macros, the All-In-One Shake provides an abundance of micronutrients, which is a huge plus. One scoop gives you at least 50% of your recommended daily amount of Vitamins A, C, D, E and K. It also contains good amounts of Calcium, Iron, Riboflavin and other micronutrients that help keep your body running at its best.
The protein itself is pea protein, alongside ingredients such as flaxseed, organic broccoli and a host of other natural ingredients. One standout extra is the probiotics: each scoop contains 1 billion CFUs (colony-forming units, i.e. viable cells), which sits within the optimal range to have a positive effect on your gut.
If you struggle with coeliac disease or are sensitive to gluten, there's more good news, as it's completely gluten-free.
Allergen warning
One drawback of the Vega One All-In-One Shake is that it's manufactured in a facility that also produces peanuts, dairy, soy, egg and tree nuts. If you have a severe allergy to any of these, it's worth bearing in mind before you buy.
Right, let's get into the nitty-gritty (but hopefully not too gritty) of it.
The first and most important test of any shake is its mixability. If a protein shake doesn't mix well and leaves big lumps in the shaker, then it's failed in our eyes. The first thing you'll notice when you open the tub is the colour. It's very green. As Vega explains on its own website, that colour comes from the organic ingredients, with no artificial colours added.
Fortunately for Vega (and for us), it mixed brilliantly. Our team mixed it with both water and unsweetened oat milk from Oatly, and both produced a smooth, lump-free shake. We actually found it mixed slightly better with plain water, but if you'd rather not use water, it works absolutely fine with any milk substitute.
We reviewed the French Vanilla flavour and were initially worried it might taste bland. It turned out to taste great, one of our favourite-tasting shakes we've ever tried. Mixed with oat milk, it took on a lovely oaty-vanilla flavour: not overpowering, but far from dull. It tastes natural and healthy, which is exactly what you'd want from a product like this.
Some of the team preferred it with water, so we'd recommend trying both to see which you like best. As noted, it does seem to mix a touch better with water, which is worth keeping in mind.

There's no sidestepping the fact that the Vega One All-In-One Shake isn't cheap. Compared with most powders on the market, it's one of the pricier choices. You're paying for a genuine all-in-one (protein, vitamins, minerals, probiotics and Omega-3 in a single scoop) rather than a basic protein powder, so the value depends on how much of that extra nutrition you'll actually use.
Each scoop (46g) delivers 20g of plant-based protein, primarily from pea protein, alongside 170 calories, 13g of carbohydrates and 5g of fat.
Yes, it's completely gluten-free, which makes it suitable if you have coeliac disease or are sensitive to gluten. Note, however, that it's made in a facility that also handles peanuts, dairy, soy, egg and tree nuts.
It mixes brilliantly with both water and plant milks like oat. We found it slightly smoother with water, while oat milk gave it a richer, oaty-vanilla taste, so it's worth trying both.
The green colour comes from the organic whole-food ingredients in the blend, not from any artificial colouring. Vega adds no artificial colours to the product.
