This privacy policy explains how Best Exercise ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit bestexercise.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

Who we are and how to contact us

Best Exercise is an independent UK fitness review website. If you have any privacy questions, or you want to exercise your data rights, email us at hello@bestexercise.co.uk. A postal contact address is available on request.

Information we collect

You do not need an account, and you do not need to provide any personal information, to read our content. There is only one situation in which we collect personal data: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message.

We run no sign-up forms, we do not sell or share your data, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Cookies and analytics

We do not set any non-essential or tracking cookies, and we do not currently use any analytics or tracking tools. No advertising pixels, fingerprinting or cross-site trackers run on this site. If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics in future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before anything is set.

Embedded videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced ("no-cookie") mode and only load when you choose to play them.

Affiliate links

Best Exercise is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may set its own cookies to attribute that purchase; this is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy, not ours.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We rely on a small number of service providers to run the site:

  • Vercel hosts the website. Pages are served from its global network, which includes servers in the United States, so a request may be processed outside the UK or EU under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
  • Amazon receives the click data needed to attribute affiliate purchases when you follow an affiliate link, under Amazon's own privacy terms.

Legal basis

Where UK and EU data protection law applies, our lawful basis for handling an email you send us is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry, together with your own act of contacting us. If we ever introduce optional analytics, the lawful basis will be your consent.

How long we keep data

We keep email correspondence only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry, and then delete it. Because we run no accounts, databases or trackers, we hold no other personal data about you.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights over any personal data we hold, such as an email you sent us. These include the right to access, correct or delete it, and to object to or restrict its use. To exercise any of them, email hello@bestexercise.co.uk.

You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This comes at no extra cost to you and never influences our independent reviews or rankings.
